[TwilightNera's Entertainment Hotspot] M. Night Shyamalan's Redemption Movie ...

I woke up bright and early to make it for the 11 a.m. movie showing of Devil. I am happy to say it was well worth it. Without giving it away the movie reverts back to an old fashion technique of movie making where you don't scare people by showing them everything....... you keeping them waiting before delivering the punch line. The movie revolves around 5 people being in an elevator and one of them being Satan.

My two biggest concerns before seeing the movie were 1. how long can you make a story interesting with people trapped in an elevator and 2. how good can a movie be that is only one hour and fifteen minutes? Well the fact of the matter is the movie delivers solidly in being a supernatural/horror thriller. The movie is not over done with well known actors but have actors who all turn in solid performances. My best advice is: cut Shyamalan a break and do not go see the movie expecting a totally shocking ending. He provides the audience with a something better, realistic plot twist that complete the story. M. Night Shyamalan may want to continue coming up with the stories and leavethe directing and writing to someone else ..... it works wonders on this movie!

If your looking for a good scare this weekend... give Devil a shot you will be glad you did.
