[TwilightNera's Entertainment Hotspot] Ciara and Justin Timberlake Create Lov...

I love the new song by Ciara and Justin Timberlake. Love, Sex, and Magic. It was first recoded as his song and then turned into a hot duet. Unlike most duets recorded separately and then put together the song was recorded with them singing back and forth. That's probably what makes it sound so good. The song will appear on Ciara's upcoming album Fantasy Ride. Ciara was impressed with another one of Justin's many skills,"He's a comedian. I think that all of us can agree–at least if you've been watching some of his stuff lately–that he's really becoming more and more silly…His personality is amazing."

The video is done and expected soon. Ciara considers this her best one yet. The video is directed by Diane Martel the director of her other videos Like A Boy and Promise.

Can't wait to see it!

Listen to the song here!

[TwilightNera's Entertainment Hotspot] Tyler Perry Wants a Private Island !

And why shouldn't he have it! Perry said he wants a to buy a Private Island in celebration of his 40th birthday. "I'm a loner by nature, so when I'm out there on these islands, I just feel like the only person in the world," Perry said. His latest film Madea Goes To Jail made an amazing 41 million in it's first weekend and is expected to keep doing well.

Tyler spent a week on vacation in the Great Exumas Islands in the Bahamas and fell in love with it. But being the worker he is he said : "Renting an island is the best place for me to work uninterrupted." His island won't have his name though,It won't be Tyler Perry's Island!" he laughs. "I'm so sick of seeing Tyler Perry all over everywhere!" He said he'll get the name from " an exotic locale. " "It'll speak to me," he says. "I'll know what to call it once I'm there."

One rule is already pre-determined, "There will be no paparazzi on my island!" Of course they'd totally mess up the point in a private island!

[TwilightNera's Entertainment Hotspot] UPDATE: What The Hell?Rihanna and Chri...

Sorry the updates have been slow but I Have some great Stuff for you Today!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes this is very much a WHAT THE HELL MOMENT! It's OK everyone to feel chumped right now for standing up for her because I know I feel it. Apparently , confirmed by PEOPLE magazine the two are back together!

They're together again. They care for each other," says the source. The two are staying together in one of P.Diddy's houses in Miami beach. The source went on to say : While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves. He called to wish her happy birthday," a source told the magazine. "They've reached out to each other. It's been mutual." Brown has been booked but the case hasn't even been presented to the district Attorney and at this point the likely hood of someone pressing charges is low.

This is just so ridiculous,I mean did she not here her families and fans warning. I find this kind of sad because most women in the situation end up staying. They stay until it gets a lot worse or ends up costing them their life. I pray to God that doesn't happen but this in no way is a smart decision. We shall see what happens...........

[A Life of Rhyme] Funny Birthday Poem

This funny birthday poem can be sent to anyone of any age and can inject a little light hearted fun into their birthday. So send this funny birthday poem to a friend, brother, sister or anyone.

Sending birthday wishes
On your special day
But you have yet to disclose
Your age for today

Now is that because
You're older than you look
Or is that a presumption
That will get me a right hook

Or maybe it's because
You're younger than you look
And for that wrong presumption
I will get another right hook

But doesn't really matter
How old you are
Because today is a birthday
And you are the star

[Floating Along...] Kuchi-e... novel images of Meiji Japan

In addition to Ukiyo-e broadsheets and books, and Shin-hanga broadsheets, I also collect kuchi-e. Kuchi-e (lit. 'mouth-picture') were frontispieces, inserted into the fronts of Meiji era novels and literary magazines (although independent kuchi-e prints were also produced). Generally produced as fold-outs (hence the folds), these prints were produced using sophisticated printing techniques, such as gauffrage, the use of metallic pigments, bokashi shading, and highly detailed carving. Kuchi-e are often exceptionally well preserved, due to being contained within books or magazines, and the fact that until relatively recently they were almost entirely overlooked by print collectors. Personally, I think the designs are exquisite and the subtle colouring is thoroughly enchanting, so the lack of enthusiasm for them amongst other collectors is somewhat confusing for me. There was a sudden rush of interest with the publication of Merritt and Yamada's 'Woodblock Kuchi-e Prints: Reflections of Meiji Culture,' but that seems to have dwindled.

My first kuchi-e print was the one shown above, produced by Takeuchi Keishû for 'Pledge at the Pond,' written by Emi Suiin and published in the literary magazine 'Bungei kurabu' in 1901. 'Pledge at the Pond' tells the story of a young man called Yoshisaburô and his yearning for Someko, a woman who is engaged to another man and who does not return his affections. Yoshisaburô has a dream about Someko, and in it they are in a boat, talking of love... she throws her engagement ring into the water and promises to return to him the following summer. In this design we see Someko in the boat, as Yoshisaburô imagined her, holding the fabric of her sleeve between her teeth, to keep it out of the water as she dips her hand into the pond.

This is another from my collection; a print where my passion for kuchi-e and rats coincide. The design, again by Takeuchi Keishû, is an independent kuchi-e. A young woman is busy reading a letter by lamplight, while perched on top of the stand for an oil lamp there is a figure of a rat, the zodiacal symbol for 1912.

As these prints have been overlooked for the most part, they are often available at very affordable prices. The design of Someko on the pond, despite its outstanding quality, was a mere £49 when I bought it. Some prints go for as little as £25, if you know where to look.

[MONEY FOR KIDS] Ways Kids Make Money - Let Web Design Decorate Their Bank Ac...

Kids always want a bit of extra money and finding ways to make that money can be a challenge. For the computer savvy kids though, there exists unique opportunities and a huge market for their skills.

The Internet presents a wide open market that grows more rapidly every year. Perhaps you are one of those kids who have grown up being in very close contact to this new digital age, and like many others have marketable skills in web design, and programming.

Even more important is that the demand for these skills at affordable prices is growing very quickly, due to the fact that everyone is getting online, and wants to be a part of this new interactive community.

Chances are you know a large number of people that either have or want a MySpace page, blog, or website of their own. Since not everybody has the knowledge to create these personal virtual spaces, or wants their space to look unique, they will often look for someone that has the knowledge to create these sites for them. Since designers can be very expensive, with single page designs demanding top dollar, there is a need for competent affordable design services.

Depending on your skills, be prepared to offer a wide range of services, such as MySpace layouts, installing and creating custom skins for blogs, and designing websites. Offering graphics such as logos and buttons can also create a small source of income if you have the skills to create them. Be willing to work with the customer, helping them learn to use what you have designed for them will go a long way. Remember many of these clients are new to the Internet and need not just your technical skills but your advice as well.

Check around the Internet to get an idea of how to set your prices, but also take into account what people in your area can afford. These services often go for premium prices; putting them out of the range of the average kid or working class person, so use this to your advantage.

Typically your first clients will be your friends, and perhaps the parents of your friends to start with, do a good job for them and word will spread, soon you will have more work than you know what to do with. Be sure to have your own personal website if you do not already, this will not only show others what you can do, but will give you a base from which to work as your business grows.

Ask your clients to keep a link on their site, to yours, giving you credit for your work, this in fact is standard practice in the design world. Also ask them to write up a review for you, these reviews and links to their site, will help your business grow beyond your circle of friends.

Once you have built up a portfolio of your work, searching for websites that allow you to advertise your services can be a great next step. Keep your prices reasonable as you build up a base of customers and fine tune your skills, once you have built up a good reputation for yourself, you can adjust your prices accordingly.

Web design is a highly competitive field, but for the computer savvy kids it still provides an excellent opportunity to earn a great income, while building their own business and skills for the future.

If you need money now, like I mean in the next hour, try what I did. I am making more money now than in my old business and you can too, read the amazing, true story, in the link below. [Insurance for Our Healthy] How to Choose the Right Health Insurance Care Plan

We need to admit the fact that more and more people today don't have any health insurance coverage. This is because it is too expensive while some people think that they don't need it because they don't feel or suffered any major health problem. However, you need to keep in mind that a health care plan is something that you can't afford not to have. And, it is something that will prepare you for the future in case the time comes where you will need it.

So, here are some tips on how to choose the right health care plan for you and your family.

The first thing that you need to think about is if you will be getting group plans or individual plans. Although some people think that it is cheaper to purchase a health care plan through an employer or through a group health care plan, there are some cases where purchasing individual plans can be cheaper.

The cost of the plan will always depend on different factors. If your employer will be the one who will pay for most of the premium, then obviously you will get a cheap health care plan and it is probably best to choose this option. However, if you are healthy and that your employer is offering you a health insurance plan but they are leaving you responsible for paying most of the premium, then it is wise that you should try buying an individual plan of your own.

You have to remember that group health plans must cover everyone on them which includes preexisting conditions. This is written on state laws and that it means that healthy people included in the group health insurance policy will balance out the costs that the insurance company needs to pay for individuals with preexisting health conditions that are covered by the same plan.

Finding cheap health insurance is very easy to do. You will find that the internet will be able to let you access thousands of different health care plans from different health insurance companies. All you need to do is do a little research and find a plan that suits your needs as well as your family. These are the ways on how to choose a health care plan. By following these tips, you can be sure that you will be able to get the right plan for you and your family.

[A Life of Rhyme] Friendship Poem

This friendship poem is for all those special friends that we sometimes forget to thank for their friendship and support. So take the time to send a poem for a friend and show just how much their friendship means to you.

Best Friend

When I need to talk
Or get in a state
You are always there
Because you're my mate

Or when I,m having problems
And in need of sound advice
After talking things over with you
I end up feeling nice

I love the time that we share
Our nights out on the town
And with you around to make me laugh
I will never have to frown

So whatever the choices
That we make
Or the paths in life
That we take

The bond we share
Will never bend
Because you truly are
My best friend

[Stephen's Blog] 17 Ways to Use Twitter for Personal or Business

Tweeter originated by Pasquale D'SilvaMore and more small business folks are giving in to what seems like an insurmountable mountain of hype and jumping on the twitter bandwagon.

But, some people still look at twitter on the surface and conclude that it's one big waste of time. I can't say I disagree completely, however, like all social media and marketing tactics, before you can determine if something makes sense you need to analyze your objectives. So, instead of asking why you would use it, ask how it might help you achieve some other already stated objectives.

1) Would you like a way to connect and network with others in your industry or others who share you views? It's a good a tool for that.

2) Would you like a way to get instant access to what's being said, this minute, about your organization, people, products, competitors or brand? It's a good tool for that.

3) Would you like a steady stream of ideas, content, links, resources, and tips focused on your area of expertise or interest? It's a good tool for that.

4) Would you like to monitor what's being said about your customers to help them protect their brands? It's a good tool for that.

5) Would you like to extend the reach of your thought leadership – blog posts and other content? It can be a good tool for that.

6) Would like a way to quickly find vendors, partners, tech help, even employees for your organization? I can be a good tool for that.

7) Would you like to promote your products and services directly to a target audience? Not such a good tool for that, but it can light a path back to your web site!

Now, if that weren't enough, the open nature of the twitter platform is spawning uses far beyond what was ever imagined or what many people can grasp - and this use of the technology will only get bigger.

Here are few things you may have never considered

Publish your Flickr photos on twitter - Visit twittergram and set-up an account and then just upload to Flickr but tag your photo twitter and it goes into your twitter stream.

9) If you use online todo list Remember the Milk - you can set it up to flow into twitter - this might be a way to assign todos to remote teams

10) Using strawpoll you can create mini polls into your twitter stream - great for flash feedback

11) Use twitter to keep up on traffic jams with commuterfeed

12) Have twitter alert you when you have a meeting with timer

13) Get and fill current job openings with tweetajob

14) Track FedEx, UPS and DHL shipments with TrackThis

15) Get help quitting smoking

16) Keep a diet journal

17) Get a tweet when your plants need water - - okay this one would be way cooler if it simply tweeted you when the plant watered itself.

How to choose a Costa Rica Tour Operator Online

Posted: 25 Feb 2009 09:45 PM CST

Costa RicaIf you type in the keyword “Costa Rica Tour Operator” in Google (without the quotation marks), there are 122,000 results listed in Google. But how do you choose the best and the most legitimate one to plan your vacation?

To help you pick out the legit Costa Rica tour operators from so much deceptive and misleading information in the Internet, follow these steps:

1.) Make sure you are looking at a professional and consistent web design

Although they all say, “Do not judge a book by its cover,” it is best (and safer) for you to do so with websites. A serious company, regardless of the business, will strive to get the best-looking, professional and consistent website design that is easy to navigate through.

2.) Find the company’s general information

Find a link that says ‘About Us’ or something similar to that. Find information on the owner of the company, partners, sponsors, their physical location and address, contact details such as phone numbers, fax numbers, email addresses. Find out their history, philosophy and goals too. All good businesses should provide all this detailed information.

3.) Find the licence by the Costa Rican Institute of Tourism

All reputable tour operators in Costa Rica have to possess a valid licence issued by the Costa Rican Institute of Tourism. Try and find out if this is mentioned on their website or if you see a logo saying it is licensed.

4.) Find out about cancellation policies

An established company will define a very clear cancellation policy.

5.) Communicate with their past travellers if possible

If you can find a section in their website where guests or travellers can provide feedback to the company, it is a good way to communicate with them and ask them for their past experience with the tour operator.

If you find a company online that seems quite legit to you but does not have all of the above, it does not necessarily mean you are dealing with a scam. But still, a website that does not have two or three elemets above should be a red flag signal to you.

[All Things Considered] Do we own the characters we create?

Do we own the characters we create in a work of fiction? Do they belong to the readers who love or hate them, or do they belong to themselves? Recently, I joked to a friend, whilst talking about my other blog (The Wonderful Demise of Benjamin Arnold Guppy) that Pat Guppy is in danger of becoming more real than I am. Admittedly, Pat Guppy is based upon a real-life person, so you may think she had a head start on other purely fictional characters, but she has recently become more real to me than the woman who inspired her. She's taken on a life of her own, outgrown the book that once contained her, and has insisted that I write a sequel to contain her. Does she belong to me? Well, I can write her in and out of existence, so in a sense she does, but beyond that I am limited to depicting her as she is. I can't write her doing something selfless or honest, as she was created as a dishonest and wholly selfish individual, so I am bound by the constraints that I put in place when she was first born (or, as she isn't wholly fictional, when she was first sucked out of reality and reconstructed as a fictional character). She dictates what she does next, or at the very least the manner in which she does it.

I have been watching my Inspector Morse DVDs again recently... I am up to disk 12. I still haven't forgiven Colin Dexter for killing him off, and I haven't been able to watch the final disk at all since I first bought the set. Sitting there, watching poor old Lewis attempt to fend off Morse's sarcasm, yet again, it started me thinking about the relationship between reader (or in this case viewer) and character. Was Morse so much a part of the lives of so many people that he ceased belonging to either himself or his creator? Certainly, when he became a television character, even the written Morse himself was gradually adapted to accommodate the TV version we'd all become so familiar with thanks to his portrayal by the wonderful John Thaw. The slim, dark-haired, grey-eyed detective was transformed into the middle-aged, white-haired, blue-eyed man we'd all come to know. So, could he have been given a happy ending, considering our knowledge of his difficult character? Would anyone have believed it? No matter how much Dexter may have wanted to have Morse flying off to New York to marry a rich widow (not that there's any reason to suppose he did want that), or how much Morse himself may have found that appealing (somehow I doubt it), did he ultimately belong so much to his public that his end could not have been written any other way?

Well, I don't know how other writers deal with their creations, but Pat Guppy tells me I'm owned (she has such a way with her, the old trout), and she's most likely right. Ultimately, I shall have to wield the only weapon left to me... at some point she'll have to go.

[sudhersana] Puberty Tradition In South India

Do you know about the puberty tradition that is followed in India ?? Yes we have a tradition which we even follow now when a girl reaches her puberty!! Here I'm talking about the tradition that has been followed in the South India where I belong to. Let me tell about the tradition followed when a girl reaches puberty. Almost the same custom is followed even now but it slightly vary as per the community

When a girl reaches puberty she is treated like a princess!! When I reached my puberty I was in my grandmother's place. The first thing done is whatever the time it is the girl is supposed to take a bath. Then she is made to sit in a separate room where only ladies are allowed not even my cousin brothers and my brother are allowed lol :)) Then all the relatives are informed and they visit the girl with sweets and gifts the following days. The girl is kept in a separate room like this for 15 days. The girl is given nutritious food on those days. Everyday the girl is dressed like an angel. My grandmother used to give me raw egg with gingelly oil at 4.00am in the morning on those days (eeewww) I feel like vomiting now if I think of that. My parents grandparents are all vegetarians but on those 15 days I was forced to have raw egg as it is supposed to be good for health (That is what my grandmother used to say).

Then on the 16Th day all friends and relatives are invited and some rituals are performed by the priest . The girl is decorated like a bride on that day with new sari, jewelleries and made to sit in front of relatives and friends and the priest does some pooja(prayers) and then the girl is given a bath with neem leaves and turmeric powder mixed in the water and then she is again made to wear new sari and made to sit in front of relatives and friends and the elders will bless the girl and give gifts. Then with a great lunch the function comes to an end .

But these days girls refuse to inform about their puberty to friends and relatives and the rituals are performed on the 7th day itself only with some very close relatives or in some cases no one is informed or invited and the priest does the rituals at home in front of family members only. But some are still following the tradition and a big ceremony is held. I think this custom must have started long before when child marriages prevailed and by informing relatives and friends and by holding a big ceremony all are informed that the girl is now ready for marriage. That must have continued and now have become a tradition. What is the tradition followed in your country or place my friends? What all do you do when a girl reaches puberty? Let me know in the form of comments :)

[A Little Boy's Blog] School Time Week 5: Occupation

I've been posting about Evan's schooling time for the last two days now. I need to do this so I won't be too far behind the actual event and forgetting all the details. So this is what he learned during his fifth week at school, which was last week, occupation. At the end of the week the students had to wear a costume suitable for the occupation of their own choice, almost like a Career Day, minus presentation.

I remember the first time I asked him what he wanted to be and he said, "A security guard." I think that because the school's security guards are very friendly and all kids seem to love them. However, as always, he soon changed his answers to a doctor, teacher, policeman, Superman, Naruto, etc.

After searching for a costume, he finally became an Air Force officer. That wasn't really what he wanted though, and wasn't my first choice either. I was looking for a Fireman costume but couldn't get one. Thank God he liked the whistle attach in the costume, so he didn't mind wearing it. But now I think that I should have been more creative about this event. Next time I'll make him become a photographer with a vest and camera, he likes taking pictures anyway.

Meet our future generation. There's a chef, policewomen, minister, etc.
But where's my boy?

There he is, mingled with his fellow armed force officers

He's a three star general

He got a pin as a participant.
It says "I'll set my goals as high as the sky"

[Riz's Martial Arts Training] Americana from Closed Guard

Also known as ude garami in Judo; Sometimes called a Key lock, Figure-Four Armlock or Chicken Wing (which incidentally was the nickname of a good friend of mine when we were in school…nothing to do with martial arts, everything to do with the way he used to run).

The Americana is a basic submission where the arm is bent at around 90 degrees and twisted towards the head cranking the shoulder as well as applying a large amount of pressure to the elbow.

Americana from Side ControlThis high percentage submission is most commonly performed from Side Control (usually, 'Four Point' Side Control) or from Mount; some practitioners are also very successful at applying the technique from the Top Half Guard position. It is also commonly used by many traditional Stand-Up systems as a basic lock/takedown against an incoming punch or downward 'stab' (a la Psycho).

The link below (they wouldn't allow me to embed the video – sorry!) takes you to Gene Simco (whose name appears to be synonymous with controversy in the BJJ universe) explaining how to apply the Americana from the Closed Guard (with and without a Gogoplata variation – but if you already have a Gogoplata locked into place, why wrestle for an Americana as well? That's just greedy Mr Simco!):

Gene Simco Gogoplata/Americana from Guard Double Attack

The Americana was the first submission I worked on in a BJJ class. I had never been a fan of its Stand Up application as was taught to me in Karate and to be honest, I'm not a huge fan of the submission's application on the ground either! I just feel that that to really effectively use the submission, you need to be able to pin down your opponent's arm – given that many of my training partners are able to more or less bench press me with a single arm (no joke!), the technique for me just feels unstable/risky, more so from the Mounted position.

Even when on the receiving end, I find that the Americana is relatively easy to defend or counter against. I tend to notice that when it does work, it is more a case of brute force than technical expertise (I mean in general, not just with me) – it's bizarro twin, the Kimura, is a lot more threatening.

So why have I posted this article? Well, just because I can't work the technique as well as I'd like doesn't mean it's a 'bad' technique – it's one of the simplest and most commonly used submissions from Beginner to Black Belt level (or so I've been led to understand!). Furthermore, its application from Guard (which has a lower success rate) works well if you use it as a Sweep (its works wonderfully if you combine it with a Butterfly Hook).

[SECRET DIARY] No Bling In Chains

It is twisting me up. It is twisting me down like heavy chains around my neck that is slowing me down. I have work to do. I can fix it. I can stay awake.. with my eyes shut... I can tripple energy to my body, but I'm a recovering RedBull addict. I don't want to relapse. I am in agony. Tiredness, I don't like you. Even creativity and imagination have deserted. Chronic weakness has taken over and torturing my body. My mind can't focus. My eyelids are small and have become out of shape. I'm human atfer all. I can't go on and on forever without sleep. I have to sleep, sometimes. I hope by the time I wake, scientist will have come up with a 'stay-awake-as-long-as-you-want drug or computer chip. I don't want to go to the moon or overthrow Barack Obama in a bloodless coup d'état. I just want to stay awake for as long as I want - even up to 12 months, if I want, without any sleep or tiredness. Relief will come in the morning when I'm recharged and energised. I'm taking this unpleasant chains to bed to have daisy chain dreams. G'night [...]

[TwilightNera's Entertainment Hotspot] Madea Goes To Jail Review

I went to see this movie on Monday and I enjoyed it so much!! So let's start off by saying go see this movie!! It's about Madea and her adventures getting arrested and coming in and out of jail. One of the best scenes is the confrontation between Dr. Phil and Madea. Even THE Dr. Phil couldn't help Madea, I mean damn! You have to see it it's hysterical. Also stay for the credits where there's an extended version of the scene. The movie had a great message of forgiveness that everyone can relate too. Sometimes I felt confused watching this film, I would be ready to cry one scene but crying laughing in the next. It was such a relieving feeling. I enjoyed every minute of it.

I went and saw this movie on a Monday which is the most stressful day of the week for me and it made me so freaking happy. Just a great story, with great laughs and a great message. Go see it!

p.s. y'all what Tyler Perry movie isn't the freaking best.

[All Things Considered] The carrot has landed

On Sunday, 12th November, 2006, Weston-super-Mare, the town I have called home for the past six years, saw the arrival of 'Silica.' Installed at Big Lamp Corner, and standing a huge 85 feet (26 metres) tall, the structure, designed by Wolfgang Buttress and paid for by the South West Regional Development Agency, Weston Regeneration Partnership, Weston Tourism and Weston Town Council, cost £280,000. The overall aim was, according to the local council 'to increase the attractiveness of the town to major investors, visitors and residents alike in order to boost the local economy.'

Did it improve the attractiveness of the town? From my perspective, and most likely that of every right-thinking member of the human race who has a modicum of taste, the answer would be a resounding 'no.' Of course, there are those who have approved of it... but there are silly people all over the globe, so why should Weston be any different? Weston is a Victorian seaside town, filled with imposing old and characterful structures for the most part (see photo below), and Silica, which looks rather like a carrot that has been dropped off by a visiting alien spaceship, simply does not gel with its surroundings. Neither does it gel with the local residents who, within five seconds of Silica being installed, labelled it 'the carrot.'

Weston-super-Mare, the Victorian seaside town.

Silica... or Silicarrot, as I am fond of calling it. See the resemblance?

The structure incorporates a bus shelter and kiosk in its base and a moving band of text, used to display public information. At least it's a practical 85 root vegetable worth £280,000... well now, that makes all the difference.

[BosKafé] Mardi gras BB: "Super Smell" Fanfare jazz-funk

[A Little Boy's Blog] School Time Week 4: Kindness

On his fourth week at school, Evan learned about kindness (from the Fruit of the Spirit). There was a memory verse for him too. Galatians 6:9 "Let us not become weary in doing good." He learned that doing good means taking turn on using toys during break-time and sharing some of his snack to his friends.

To sum up the lesson, on Friday the students were asked to give something special for their favorite teacher. And since that was on Valentine's week so chocolate was chosen as the perfect gift. They asked for specific type and size though, so there wouldn't be any mine-is-bigger-than-yours competition between the kids. The only competition left should be between the teachers themselves. There were three teachers in every class and the students were to give only to one of them. After that the teachers would share their chocolate and give a small love note for all students. Sweet wasn't it.

However, since my son were joining me in Surabaya on Valentine, he skipped school that Friday. "Sorry Ms. Ony, Evan was planning to give his chocolate to you, but he preferred to be with mommy that day." He still gave her gift though, not chocolate but Manalagi Apple from Batu, East Java, after he came back from Surabaya the following week.

Manalagi and Malang Apple

[All Things Considered] From Paris to Weston-super-Mare in two seconds flat

Paris is my favourite city. This evening, I wished out loud to be there. So my husband, who was, like me, dressed for bed, took me there in two seconds flat. How did he do this? He discovered the wonders of Google Earth a couple of nights back and we've been exploring the globe ever since. A quick peep at the Musée du Louvre (oh, how I love the Egyptian department there) was followed by a dash across the Seine to the Musée d'Orsay (wonderful Impressionist paintings calling out to me to visit soon), and then less than a second later we were hovering above the Tour Eiffel. I did travel to the top a few years back, with my husband... we chose to walk back down afterwards, and that was my exercise quota satisfied for the next decade.

Two seconds later, following a hop, skip and a jump, we were descending upon Weston-super-Mare at great speed. Actually, my vertigo did kick in temporarily as we swooped. We live very close to the sea, high up on the hillside, and a quick toggle of the zoom widget had us almost sitting on top of our own roof. I'm considering a trip to Rome tomorrow... or New York.

Hovering above the Tour Eiffel.

Over Weston-super-Mare... as it looked prior to the pier being destroyed by fire.

[A Little Boy's Blog] School Time Week 3: Season

On his third week at school, Evan learned about season. The students were taught about all seasons in the world even though we only have two seasons here, wet and dry. They learned about what would happen and what things needed during each season. As always, on Friday the students would practice about what had been taught during the week. This time the teacher asked each student to bring raincoat because they would practicing about rainy season.

Here's my son wearing his raincoat the night before. He was so excited about the next day activity at school until he asked me over and over again to try out his raincoat.

Too bad there was no rain on that day even though we were still in rainy season. I know the kids would prefer to have a real rain, instead of being hosed by their teachers ;=)

Oops I lost him, where is he?

There he is, happy being wet

[TurnTheRadioOn] TTRO in a porn blog? What the..!

I was tinkering around my Technorati page when I discovered a shocker...right there on top of the list of blog reactions for TurnTheRadioOn was this entry:

Jeez, what the hell? Well, I really needed to investigate, and sure enough lo and behold, right there at hot-adult-blog-dot-whatever, in the list of entries just right after "Sexy Brunette Wife Kisses a Girl for You" was this:

Ok, so let me be clear about this.

One - TTRO does not feature porn. It's a radio blog for pete's sake and definitely not into featuring porn... sexy songs maybe, but never porn.

Two - We don't subscribe to porn sites. I'm just not sure where our deejays go in the triple W during their spare time.

Three - It's these search sites that crawl blogs like TTRO that lump key words they could find from your pages. Thus, when this porn blogsite owner typed in "hot adult blogs" in that search box, well, you know what happens next...[ergo, hot AC (Adult Contemporary) Radio Blog. Ingenious!]

So, should TTRO just take this sitting down? Should we demand from this pornblog owner to take down TTRO from his site? Are we to expect more sites like this to feature TTRO whenever we update our new music posts? Come to think of it, are we in trouble because of this post? What do you think? Or are you guys getting hot...(kidding!)

(I wonder... are there readers here who actually hopped from Hot Adult Blog? Tell me if you are and don't forget to comment lol.)

How Do I Love My Husband tagged by Maria of Maria Went To Chicago. Thanks Maria, you made such a sweet post about it.

My husband and I have known each other since we were still in high school. There were several on and off periods in our relationship until we finally took our vow. I'll save the details for the Propose to Marry tag, which will be posted later this weekend. Sorry for another delay dear, I haven't found the pictures needed for the tag yet.

We got married because we know that we love each other and we believe God has plan for both of us. How do I love him?
  • I love the way he loves me
  • I love the way he supports me in all situation
  • I love his attentiveness to my family
  • I love him for being honest and faithful
  • In short I love him for what he was then, is now and will always

I've seen many bloggers have done this tag, so I'll leave the tag open for those who haven't made this tag.

***

Maria also tagged me with Sporty Tag. Thanks again Maria, it's a very interesting tag too :)
Rules:
1. Just state what kind of sports car will you buy if you have a ton of money at the moment.
2. Don't spoil the fun guys, please get back to me if you are done posting and leave a comment stating the name and the kind of vehicle.
3. If you could link me to the post, it would be awesome!

If I had a ton of money (how much exactly is it btw?) I would certainly consider to buy this beautiful Ferrari 430 Scuderia. I skip the performance details because that's not really matters here. With the traffic and road condition in Jakarta, I would never be able to achieve even its half speed :(. Anyway, I like this particular car for it's in my fave color - dark purple :). Imagine all the attention and the jealous look I would get if I were in that car, hmm...

Nevertheless, this type of Ferrari has been reviewed as the third-quickest Ferrari road car ever made. So it's not that bad, is it? Another reviewer said "While easy enough to drive without killing yourself, the 2008 Ferrari 430 Scuderia is a phenomenal driving machine ideal for those with a track and/or vacant mountain road at their ready disposal. Saturn-rocket acceleration, sublime handling, surprisingly easy to drive, has only slightly fewer performance toys than Lewis Hamilton." Thank God for that coz I never drive a Ferrari, so it's good to know that the car is easy to drive. As for the price, it's not that expensive, I would only need to spend $200,000 out of my dream money (off course) to have one.

Can I continue to another car? It's not a sport car though, it's a limousine ;=). If I still had money left after buying that Ferrari, I would buy a limo, along with the driver, lol. If you live or ever been in Jakarta, having such a convenient car with a skilled driver is a must! The traffic is crazy here. And if I could make my limo escorted by a police squad, my life would be a lot easier!

"At your service Madam"

Ok, I have to stop here before I get carried away. Let's back to the topic, shall we? What's your dream sport car? Let's share it to me :)

Life Is Grand tagged by Adin's baby Harley of Mommy's Gossip Corner. This one is special because baby Harley tagged Evan, and Evan says, "Yay, thank you my friend!"

Rule: List 5 reasons why I think that Life Is Grand and then pass it on to 5 people.
  • 1. My Life is Grand because I'm happy knowing that God bless me
  • 2. My Life is Grand because God bless my mom and dad
  • 3. My Life is Grand because God bless people I love
  • 4. My Life is Grand because God bless my pet
  • 5. My Life is Grand because God bless my country
Note: those are summarized from his morning prayer. Every morning he will pray like this "Lord Jesus thank you for blessing me, my mama, my daddy, Oma... and so on". He will mention many names including grandparents, uncles, aunties, his nanny, our maid, teachers, and sometimes his pet. At the end of the prayer he will say "Bless our country too God, Amen."

Evan says he passes this tag to all fellow kiddies :)

Adin also tagged me with Valentine Linky Love for Valentine's Day; unfortunately, I was out of town that time and haven't come back until last week so I didn't have a chance to post it. I'm sorry I miss it Adin, it's a perfect tag for the season and I love the message in it. Thank you again for tagging me.

Lovely Blog Award from Enchie of Sweet Nothings. Thank you mommy what a perfect award for the season :)

Lovely Blog AwardRules:
1. Nominate another 10 bloggers that you really love to visit their blog.
2. Put the logo in your blog and link to the person who gave you the award.

I'm sure all of you have some favorites blogs too, so I will leave this award open so any of you can share about your favorites blogs to us. As for me, these are some of the blogs I really love to visit:
As I See It, BeeAmazing, Sweet Nothings, Fickleminded, Saya Kembali, The Naked Traveler, Maria Went to Chicago, Mommy's Gossip Corner, Sweet Carnation, Simple Happy Life, Life's Journey.
I have to admit, I don't visit all those blogs on daily basis, some of them I just secretly follow thru my Google Reader, because sometimes I don't really have time to do that. However, when I do read them, it certainly adds more colors to my day. It makes me smile, laugh, think, learn, sometimes cry, etc. Now it's your turn to share your fave blogs :)

***

Best Mom Award from Enchie and Chris. Two lovely ladies nominated me as Best Mom, wow thank you mommies, I'm truthfully honored. And I want everybody knows that I 100% agree with whomever nominated these lovely moms because they are indeed the best moms :)

Best Mom AwardRules:
1. Show the award logo in your post.
2. Pick a picture you have with your kiddo/s.
3. Post should include your best experience as a Mom.
4. Nominate other blogger moms out there that you consider the best mom, like yourself.

My best experience as a mom will include having my baby inside my tummy and delivering him. Seeing his first smile, hearing his first cry, his first laugh, his first giggle, his first words, seeing his first crawl, his first steps, his first fall from trying to walk, his first run. Hearing his kiddies songs or his self-made song, his yell, his arguments, his innocent questions. Seeing him go to school, doing his homework...

I can truly make a very long list of my best experience as a mom. In short, being with my son is my best experience as a mom! Everything you read about my boy in this blog is my best experiences as a mom.

Usually I will leave the award open, but this time I want to specifically present this award to Maria. I still remember your post here dear, I really like that and it certainly confirm that you deserve this award :)

Thank you for taking time to read this long post. I hope I didn't make too many typos. Have a great day!
